Hello, I’m Kimberly!
Co-owner and founder of Country Gardens & Table. I’m so happy you stopped by!
After owning and operating a greenhouse nursery for more than 20 years, my husband, Donnie, and I decided to retire the business and step into the next chapter of our lives. As a Master Gardener, I wasn’t ready to stop sharing what I love, so I continued with home and gardening ideas and tips through Smith’s Country Gardens social media. I have met so many wonderful people along the way, many of whom encouraged me to start a blog, and I thank them!
Besides gardening and tending to my flowers, I’ve always loved cooking, decorating, and all the little details that make a home beautiful. I enjoy coming up with fresh ideas to make your space more functional, livable, and a place you never want to leave. I’m excited to share all of that with you!
One of the most exciting parts about this adventure is teaming up with my daughter, Ashley, to create this mother-daughter blog. Working side by side with her has been simply amazing! We think alike, share the same ideas, and have a lot of fun along the way. I couldn’t ask for a better partner.
Whether you’re here for a new container idea, gardening tips, inspiration for your home, or something tasty to put on the table, there’s always something new to find.
Thank you for being here!

Hi, I’m Ashley!
And I’m so excited you’re here!
A bit about me: I live outside of Indianapolis, IN, with my husband, Josh, our two sons, Jaxon and Emerson, and our doodle, Ziggy. Our boys keep us busy, but I always like to cook up a meal that makes everyone happy – even on busy weeknights (I’m a big fan of quick & easy).
I’ve always loved my mom’s cooking. There’s something about a mama’s cooking that no one else can beat! As my kids have gotten older, it warms my heart when they order one of their favorite meals at a restaurant, just to look at me and say “it’s good, but not as good as yours”. Literally one of the best compliments a self-proclaimed at-home chef mom could get.
When my mom, Kimberly, approached me about creating this blog together, I knew that with our combined love of cooking, my background in digital marketing, plus her talent with gardening and decorating, we were onto something big. So we rolled our sleeves up and got started putting Country Gardens & Table together.
I truly hope you find inspiration and your next favorite recipe here. We’d love to hear from you, so feel free to drop us a note in the comments!
